Responsibilities

(a) Coordinating and supporting the work of the National Security Council. (b) Assist in implementing the decisions of the National Security Council. (c) Provide necessary assistance in formulating national security policies. (d) Assessing internal and external threats. (e) To prepare research papers related to national security. (f) Forming a task force of experts as needed to coordinate with various ministries, security and other agencies. (g) Conducting conferences and seminars on issues of national importance as well as security. (h) Prepare and report daily security analysis. (i) Implementation and monitoring of national security policy (j) To analyze and submit a safety related report from the meeting of the Joint Evaluation Committee (JEC) consisting of representatives of all security agencies on a weekly basis. (k) To monitor the progress details of the relevant ministries/organizations for the implementation of the integrated action plan of the National Security Policy, 2075.
